Claude Code
Run Anthropic's Claude Code on your Standard Compute budget. The launcher connects Claude Code for that session only. Your normal Claude settings stay as they are.
Claude Code uses the Anthropic Messages API. A Standard Compute plan does not include a Claude Pro or Max subscription.
1. Install the launcher

The launcher requires Node.js 20 or newer. Open a new terminal after installing so standardcompute is on your PATH.
If Claude Code isn't installed yet, the launcher installs it using Anthropic's installer.
2. Launch from your project folder
standardcompute launch claude
The first time, choose an API key and approve the connection in your browser. Claude Code then opens automatically. Use the same command every time; the launcher remembers your key.
To pick a company key instead of your personal key, add --choose-key.
3. Check the connection
In Claude Code, run /status. The API URL should be https://api.stdcmpt.com.
Then ask Claude Code to reply "OK" and look for the request in Request Logs.
Common tasks

Running claude directly still uses your usual Claude configuration. To revoke access completely, rotate the key in the dashboard.
Manual configuration
If you can't use the launcher, point Claude Code at Standard Compute with environment variables:

Use https://api.stdcmpt.com without /v1. Claude Code appends the Messages API path itself.
If an existing login, environment variable or managed setting takes precedence, resolve that first. Organization-managed settings may need your administrator.
Troubleshooting
"Model not found." Close the old Claude Code session and run the launch command again. Choosing "default" inside an old session doesn't clear old model settings.
MCP servers ask for authentication. Run /mcp inside Claude Code. MCP authentication is separate from your Standard Compute connection.
Claude Desktop or the VS Code extension isn't connected. They use their own connection settings; the launcher only configures the terminal agent.
When contacting support, include the exact error and your /status output, with keys removed.
