Cursor

Cursor can send chat and agent requests to Standard Compute through its OpenAI base URL override.

Setup

1. Open Cursor Settings → Models. Enable OpenAI API Key and enter your Standard Compute key.
2. Enable Override OpenAI Base URL and enter https://api.stdcmpt.com/v1.
3. Add standardcompute as a custom model and enable it.
4. Select it in a new chat and send a small request. Confirm it appears in Request Logs.

Use standardcompute for smart routing, or an exact model ID from the Models page to pin a model.

Limitations

• Custom API keys don't cover Cursor Tab completion.
• Requests still pass through Cursor's servers.
• Support for custom endpoints and model features varies by Cursor version. Try a real agent task before relying on it.

Troubleshooting

If the override setting is missing, check your Cursor version and Cursor's API key documentation. If a model is rejected, confirm its exact ID and your available budget.

To disconnect, restore your previous OpenAI key and base URL, or disable the override and the custom model.
